Background
TechnoMed Strategic Partners was founded by Dr. Cecilia Haberzettl following four years of consulting on technology assessment and implementation for the therapeutic and diagnostics industries where she has more than 25 years R&D experience. Efforts to understand the human genome and the role of gene products and their interaction at the cellular and metabolic level have brought new opportunities and new developments in therapeutics and diagnostics. The analytical tools to support these efforts continue to evolve allowing for micro and nano scale analysis while incorporating unique technologies for basic research or for small volume, high throughput analysis.
Technology, be it analytical, computational or information sharing tools, plays a significant role in evolving a state-of-the-art knowledge base which can be implemented and commercialized to enhance the practice of medicine.
Two key trends in therapeutics are personalized medicine based on pharmacogenomics and localizing the effects of therapy by targeting drug delivery. On the analytical side miniaturization and high throughput analysis are two important trends. Integrating and applying these trends will bring us closer to the practice of nanomedicine.
Management
Cecilia A. Haberzettl, PhD President and Founder
Dr. Haberzettl earned her PhD degree in BioMedical Sciences from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in a joint program with Rutgers University. She has 25+ years R&D experience in pharmaceutical, diagnostics, academic and biotechnology settings including Warner-Lambert, Sandoz, Johnson & Johnson, St. Barnabas Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Centocor. Dr Haberzettl has served for 6 years on the Board of Directors of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry as an elected Director and Secretary.
Since 1998 Dr. Haberzettl has consulted on the assessment, development and implementation of technology, especially micro and nano-scale analytical tools for laboratory medicine/diagnostics and therapeutics.
